Dear Friends,
Our hearts are filled with gratitude and respect for your willingness to consider us as you ponder the miracle of adoption. We appreciate your desire to make this important decision. We realize you are in charge of where this child will go and we appreciate your consideration. We were fortunate to grow up in loving families and we are committed to providing a similar life for our own future child. We are not able to have children on our own, yet this has not diminished our dream of a family. We have seen adoption work. On the Patterson side of the family we have two generations that have been blessed by adoption. Dylan’s two youngest sisters are adopted and the family would not be complete without them. We have seen first hand how a selfless mother, through adoption, can be such a blessing to the child and the adoptive parents. Our child will grow up knowing of this sacrifice that was made for his or her good by a loving birth mother.
A little about Jen:
I grew up in Las Vegas with my Mom, Dad and 3 brothers. My childhood was filled with many great memories spending time with my family and getting to experience so many wonderful things such as going to the lake, riding quads at my family’s ranch, snowboarding and lots of traveling. Some of my hobbies are doing craft projects, sewing, running, exercising, being outdoors, and being with my husband and family. I am currently a Registered Nurse and I care for pediatric and adult patients. From an early age I knew that I wanted to become a nurse. Being able to care for those who are ill is truly rewarding for me. I feel so fortunate to be a nurse and it is something I’m very passionate about. However when a baby enters our world I will become a full-time, stay at home Mom. To me being a Mom will be the best job I will ever have.
A little about Dylan:
With 8 kids in my family and a loving Mom and Dad, life has been a real blessing for me. I enjoyed having many brothers and sisters around and now as an adult it’s always a fun time. I enjoy riding dirt bikes, heading to the beach, traveling and camping.I graduated from college with a Business Management degree and I’ve enjoyed working in sales. I enjoy people and I’ve always been big on entertaining and having friends over. Growing up my house was the place we always congregated. It was a fun place to be and I want my home to be that way for our child.
When I was 5 my younger sister was adopted and I still remember driving to the hospital to pick her up. 7 years later my youngest sister was adopted and our family was finally complete. I appreciate the decision a courageous woman made that provided me the opportunity to grow up with my sisters. I now look forward to adopting, raising and loving my own child. It’s all such a wonderful process.
About Jen from Dylan:
One thing I love about Jen is her caring nature. Her career as a nurse couldn’t be a better fit as she is always caring for others and constantly strives to help those in need. She is patient and wonderful with children. As a nurse assistant she worked with the sweet little heart babies and I remember feeling so fortunate knowing when we had kids she would be so well prepared as an incredible mother.
Jen grew up with all brothers and I feel this has made her a pretty patient and an even-keel kind of girl. We have a very healthy relationship based on communication and love and I really couldn’t ask for more.
About Dylan from Jen:
One of the first things I noticed about Dylan when I met him was how friendly and kind he was to everyone. He is everyone’s friend and is the first to help someone that is in need. He is a very positive person and a hard worker. He always takes the time to make sure that his family is cared for and they are safe. All of our nieces and nephews love Uncle Dylan and I know that he is going to be the best Dad. He is so knowledgeable about everything and will be the best example and teacher to our children.
We have come to the point in our lives where we now desperately want children to love and care for. As a young couple we have the energy, enthusiasm and excitement to be a fun and active family, ready for adventures, learning and growth. We are thrilled for this next stage in our lives and are greatly anticipating the day when we will become parents. Some of our goals as a family are to raise a happy, strong, healthy and kind child. When we were younger we were lucky enough to participate in many activities such as sports, traveling, music and giving service. We hope to provide our child with the same opportunities to help them learn and experience new things. Above all, the most important thing we want is for our child to feel loved as he or she learns and grows in our family.
The older we get the more we realize life is really about the relationships we form and the love and friendships we have with our family and friends. We both have close friendships with our many siblings, in-laws, nieces and nephews. Combined we have 38 total family members plus 2 on the way. 19 of those family members will be cousins to our child. And that number will continue to grow. We truly feel family is the most important thing we have and we are excited to add a child to our family.
We are excited and thankful to be a part of the adoption process. Thank you for taking time to look at our profile. We hope to meet you soon!
